Aikido for Seniors

This class is designed to use the principals of Aikido, a Japanese martial art, to increase confidence, balance and body coordination. We will use a short staff or walking stick to help focus on stance and footwork. As we continue through the summer sessions, we will be adding 'bokken' or wooden sword to our curriculum to further body awareness and posture. Learning individual training exercises will also work your memory. Students will increase their awareness in defensive situations in a safe learning environment. You will not be getting down on the floor.

Summer Sessions 2025:

Session 1: June 2 thru July 12 (Wed 12:30-1:20)

Session 2: July 21 - August 30 (Wed 12:30-1:20)


Fall Sessions 2025:

Session 1: Sept 10 thru Oct 22 (Wed 12:30-1:20)

NO CLASS Oct 8

Session 2: Nov 5 thru Dec 17 (Wed 12:30-1:20)
